Een veel gehoorde kreet in de media is op dit moment dan ook ransomware, oftewel afperssoftware (maar dat klinkt niet zo soepel) De digitale transformatie zet zich steeds verder door, waardoor ransomware steeds eenvoudiger, en daarmee grootschaliger, beschikbaar komt.
